For October we will be reading Remarkably Bright Creatures by Shelby Van Pelt. This novel is about a newly widowed woman named Tova who starts working the night shift at an aquarium. Tova becomes acquainted with curmudgeonly Marcellus, a giant Pacific octopus living at the aquarium. These two share a bond and end up working to uncover the answer to a 30 year old mystery. We will be discussing this novel twice in the month of October: Monday, October 28 at 5:30 pm and Wednesday, October 30 at 1:30 pm.
