February Book Discussion

The February book selection is Romantic Comedy by Curtis Sittenfeld. Sally Milz is a sketch writer for a late night comedy show. She has given up on love after a couple of heartbreaks. Then, when she least expects it, she ends up meeting a pop music sensation and they collaborate on sever skits and creative projects together. They hit it off instantly and she begins to wonder if there might actually be sparks flying and if in real life, someone like him would actually date someone like her. Curtis Sittenfeld, the author of this deeply tender novel, explores the neurosis inducing and heart-fluttering wonder of love, while slyly dissecting the social rituals of romance and gender relations in the modern age.
